It has been a while since we updated sorry. We have been flat out since both returning to work in January. So this was just after New Year with the bricks laid out ready to go.
The southern wall is nearly complete with just the window sills and finishing touches to come.
The wall that the BBQ is going to live against is half way done on the alfresco area.
The view from inside in the guest/4th bedroom. The water can be seen on the floor. Caused us a bit of concern as the flooring didn't appreciate being that wet. The reason for some of the water you can see below. The rain pelted down shortly after we took this.
The northern wall is nearly complete. Again the window sills to come.
The front entry way is done in a common red brick, this area will be bagged and painted in a grey/blue when finished!
The sliding door into Bed 4 on the left, there will be a deck outside of this door....it will be the prime spot on hot summer afternoon to catch the NE sea breeze!
On 2nd Feb on our way back from a weekend in Auckland....WITHOUT THE KIDS! (thanks Granne and Pa), the brickwork is complete
and the scaffolding has been installed.
The roof trusses are up
and the gutters and fascias are installed.
The tiles and the weatherboard has now been delivered. So we may have a roof very soon! Won't be too far to lock up now!
